Not quite a recipe though it does involve toasting bread 😉
Ingredients:
- Your favorite bread, sliced (I am keeping it gluten free here with Coco Bakes rosemary olive sourdough, which is delicious)
- Cream cheese (I LOVE the dairy free Monty’s cream cheese – here I used it in the “classic” flavor)
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 slice beefsteak tomato
- 1 slice red onion
- Sea salt, to taste
Directions:
- Toast the bread.
- Spread with cream cheese.
- Mash the avocado on top.
- Add sliced onion and tomato.
- Season with salt.
Note: I sometimes like to add herbs, such as cilantro, into the mashed avocado and leafy greens, such as arugula or microgreens, on top of the whole thing.
